Madiran vineyards are located in the Haut Béarn region, in the heart of the Vic Bilh, “old country” in the local dialect. Shaped by Pyrenean moraines, the Madiran region is composed of a succession of South-North oriented valleys. Its multiple slopes have an East-West exposure.

Chateau Peyros sets itself apart thanks to a very specific terroir and micro-climate. Planted over a significant rocky mass, Chateau Peyros is the only vineyard benefiting of a full south exposure. This exceptional sun exposure guaranties a greater photosynthesis for its vineyard, a greater maturation of its grapes and higher quality of its wine production. The soil is composed of a conglomerate of rolled pebbles and clay called “pouzzolanes”. Chateau Peyros's 49 acres of vineyard are composed of Tannat (70%) and Cabernet Franc (30%).

Where tradition meets innovation, Chateau Peyros' cellars, created by Emile Penaud, is today one the most modern of the appellation. Fervent supporters of sustainable agriculture, the Lesgourgues Family has reduced the use of chemicals by more than 40% since they took over the property.

The vineyards, the cellars and the beautiful old Convent are open to the public upon reservation, from Monday to Friday only.

Untouched by the passing of time and listed on the UNESCO world heritage sites, Blaye is a unique site where Art and History meet. Overlooking the Gironde estuary, Loumelat is ideally located. Its vineyard benefits from a great sun exposure that guarantees a perfect maturation of the grapes and the production of the finest wines.

Located 6 miles North East of the historical city of Blaye, the vines are planted over magnificent sandy-clay and clay-limestone soils composed of several sedimentary layers left by the Atlantic Ocean millions of years ago.

Owned by the Mariochaud family, Château Loumelat is now operated under the supervision and outmost care of the Lesgourgues family in the quest of excellence while following a sustainable agriculture.

Located in the heart of the Graves Appellation, Chateau Le Bonnat was originally operated by Chateau Fieuzal. The Lesgourgues Family made the acquisition of the property in 1991.

The 56 acres of vineyard are planted over a magnificent terroir located in the northern part of the Graves appellation, nearby the village of Saint Selve and the historical land of Montesquieu at La Brede.
The 30 years old vines in average are planted over a clay-gravel and chalky soil, ideal terroir for a low yield production of aromatic and well-balanced wines.
The vineyard is composed of 27 acres of Merlot, 22 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and a small parcel of Cabernet Franc. 4 acres of Semillon and 2 acres of Sauvignon Blanc are dedicated to a limited production of white wines.
Chateau Le Bonnat's grapes benefit from the renowned quality of neighboring Chateau Haut Selve cellars and from the outmost care of its associates for the production of this outstanding “cru”.
The wines are available in fine dining restaurants, hotels and independent liquor stores in France and in several countries, all over the world.

Château Haut Selve is the result of Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues' ambition to create a 112-acre vineyard from scratch over the land of a prestigious XIX century property where vines used to grow 120 years ago.

After a meticulous clearing of the land, vines were planted in a manner to support a fast and deep rooting, creating an ideal terroir for the growth of premium Cabernet Sauvignon.
The next challenge was the construction of a fully equipped and modern winery that would best serve the wines. It needed to be contemporary and sustainable. That vision required the help of truly talented partners, an enthusiastic and audacious team, able to challenge themselves, animated by our quest for excellence.
Sylvain Dubuisson and Vincent Barre, famous architects and designers, were hired to supervise the construction of the winery and to design the estate's landscape, the grids, doors and cellars.

Chateau Haut Selve was born at the dawn of the XXI century. Its moto “Non Nova Sed Nove”, built in our time for an enduring tomorrow, illustrates the willingness that prevailed at the origin of that project and which is still true today.

Today, Château Haut Selve shines among the leading châteaux of the Graves. Its white and red wines can be found in the best wine shops, and in the wine list of the finest restaurants in France. They are also exported in close to 25 countries worldwide.
